When was the last time you saw the famous view from our Verandah Restaurant while you enjoyed your lunch or afternoon tea? 130 years ago?!
For many years our Verandah restaurant, with it's famous view, has not been open during the day, so, unless you happened to be a pupil at one of the boarding schools which sheltered here during the World Wars, you are unlikely to have enjoyed lunch in this spot since the hotel was built in 1878.
Everyone can now enjoy this unique outlook, not just at sunset and sunrise, but at lunch time too. The Restaurant is now open from 12 noon to 5.00pm every day for lunches and light meals and afternoon tea.
..and while you’re here you could see our new Japanese Garden, visit our museum, treat yourself to a massage in our spa or simply stroll around the herb garden.
