Christmas at the Atholl Palace

Our many regular customers for Christmas recognise the varied facets of our programme

Our many regular customers for Christmas recognise the varied facets of our programme

Christmas Eve

Our formal programme starts with clarsach music this
afternoon, whilst tea is served in the lounges. There
will our special white chocolate drinks reception before
dinner, which is an informal affair - no need to rush
this evening. Later on gather round the fire and be
enchanted by traditional Christmas tales and songs with
our storyteller Claire accompanied with her Celtic harp.
Travel with her to faraway magical lands, celebrating
the spirit of Christmas whatever your age!
Transport is available later on to the local watchnight
services, and we serve hot chestnuts and mulled wine
before you retire.

Christmas Day
A leisurely breakfast from the buffet to start the day,
and then perhaps a stroll around the grounds to view
the Japanese Garden and the waterfalls, or a little further
afield to the Black Spout Woods or even Loch Faskally .
Before lunch there will be musical entertainment and
a glass of Champagne, and Santa always manages to
visit during lunch. Once again no need to rush your
traditional Christmas meal, there will be plenty! Later
on, we serve Christmas cake and tea and from 7pm a
delightful fork buffet supper will be served at leisure,
followed by traditional accordion music with Donnie
Kennedy .

Boxing Day
Today is your ideal chance to have a look at the
surrounding Highlands. By car we suggest Queens View,
Bruar Falls and nearby House of Bruar, or Kenmore and
the delights of Loch Tay, whilst more locally Moulin Village with its superb pub and micro brewery are an
easy walk. An early light lunch will be served, before
transport leaves for our trip to the panto in Perth
"Cinderella ". Chefs Hot Beef Buffet dinner later on is
followed by some very traditional Jazz with Jim Petrie
and Friends to complete the evening.
