Linn of Tummel is a woodland property where the rivers Garry and Tummel meet. The slow, calm Garry and the crashing, fast-flowing Tummel feed into Loch Faskally, surrounded by woodland. The property is at the heart of ‘Big Tree Country’ and exemplifies the much-lauded Highland Perthshire landscape. The picturesque combination of water and woodland is also home to a rich variety of wildlife. This stretch of Perthshire countryside is ideal for a revitalising walk. Keep an eye out for glimpses of red squirrels, otters, kingfishers or even a pine marten. Take in the excellent views of Killiecrankie from the Garry Bridge. Don’t miss the Edwardian fish ladder, created in 1910 to allow salmon to jump upstream and admire the obelisk, which commemorates a visit by Queen Victoria in 1844.
