Perthshire Wildlife offers an array of Beaver Safaris for its visitors. Take place in their Riverbank Beaver Safari and experience the evening or early morning wildlife on one of Perthshire’s loveliest rivers in spring or summer (mid-April to mid-September). This is the best time to easily see the wild-living beaver families in Perthshire. The Half-Day Beaver Safari visits a wonderful location where beavers have built a series of amazing dams and you can easily see how they have changed the surroundings to produce wildlife-rich wetlands. You’ll spend the first half of the evening on a walk to see all the changes in the environment and the second half sitting by the beaver pools. Their Beaver Safari by Canoe is the most interesting, having teamed up with local canoeing experts with 30 years of experience and takes place on the beautiful River Tay. It is an ideal way to get close to wildlife with minimal disturbance and we usually see a variety of bird life as well as the local beaver lodge, beaver trails, evidence of feeding and hopefully the beavers themselves. Whatever Safari you choose you are sure to see some of Perthshire most beautiful wildlife.
